This area of SI should have had a new firehouse built a long time ago. Ideal location for engine/truck and chief. New BC. SI should have 4th battalion. Long runs, slow runs, even at 0200 hrs. Truck company to get into West Shore locations (only single engine firehouses). A lot of developments, people, stores, schools, busy roads in this area.

BN 23 response to this box - all roads are very slow. Richmond Hill Rd thru golf course and up winding, steep hill very difficult.

Even before I moved out here, I was amazed at this gap. I mentioned on some post years ago - even before the squad was established - to put at least an engine and a BC with EMS Station 22 right smack in the middle of the island with an eventual permanent location on the CSI campus on the Forest Hill Road side. Same 3 battalion chiefs since 1930 when animals probably outnumbered residents and 34 years before the VZ Bridge.

Same sentiments my father and other SI chiefs he worked with in early 1980s had.
