Lieutenant Chrysler died from a heart attack that was caused by oxide fumes while operating at a fire.
Lieutenant Rodman G. Chrysler of Engine 7 died from a heart attack caused by oxide fumes at a fire. He was appointed to the Department on July 1, 1934 and assigned to Engine 29. He was promoted to Lieutenant on January 1, 1945. He left behind a wife and four children. (From "The Last Alarm" by Boucher, Urbanowicz & Melahn, 2007)
