Just a few add-ins. I’m bored so I took out my map book and the FDNY Ops Reference👍.

I believe that Point Breeze & Rockaway Point FD’s both respond to any call inside the Breezy Point Gate.

I didn’t hear the incident, however if Haz Mat 1 & HMB responded, then a Haz-Tech unit (Squad or Haz-Tech engine) would also go, as S270 would be going in as the squad. Perhaps E250?

Would B54 be the 10-75/All-Hands chief, or would it come from Brooklyn? Perhaps B-33?

Squad 252 is actually the squad for 8300 not 270.

I didn't hear either, happened to see it on firewires fb page. Didn't list any units other then saying all hands for a ruptured gas main. I'm assuming due to the call HM1 would respond, and never thought of the HMTU until not long ago. That's one of those areas that has pretty good response times for some special units.

I know Rockaway and Point Breeze have units uniquely suited for that area, so it wouldn't surprise me if they have a mutual aid agreement in place.

My old dept, WHB got one of their 4 wheel drive trucks as a brush truck. That thing was a monster, before Sandy destroyed it. They were going to send it for scrap so we took it. Nothing was wrong with it other it being surplus.

Wow, now that I never knew! 👍
Yeah, it's an interesting box. 159 is second due and I believe 169 is the extra truck. After that it just get's silly with the distances of the incoming companies, hence the importance of the vollies in such a remote area. Point Breeze and Rockaway Point FD respond to all fire related calls in Breezy Point and Roxbury.
