E38 gave 10-75, Box Truck w/propane tanks & multiple cars on fire, also affecting El Train

L61F, E97 4th Engine

L51: Box Truck w/4 propane cylinders, 4 cars burning as well

B15 gave All Hands, 2 L/S/O

D7: 3 L/S - 2 L/O - MBFKD

D7: 3 L/S/O, 1 line is foam line, we need HM Logistics for propane cylinders (4 - 20 lb.) in box truck

Outstanding operation by E 38 at the Dyre Ave incident. At this very early morning incident, they faced a heavy fire load exposing occupied dwellings, active IRT EL tracks and associated high voltage overhead cabling. In addition, flammables were leaking off of the truck and creating a river of fire running down the curb involving numerous parked cars.

E 38 was able to operate a strategically placed hand line and a foam line simultaneously before the arrival of another engine company. Quick and highly competent action saved this incident from becoming at catastrophe.
