NYCHA Gravesend Houses, no standpipe. Stretch 1&3/4”. Long hand stretches. Pic from citizen:
Just curious, was "stretch 1.75" announced? Seems odd even for a long stretch on these buildings which are right on the water and could have wind impacted fires.

When was the building built? NYC.gov has a link on the gravesend houses but not a damn thing on when it was built. Thought NYCHA complexs need to have standpipes in all buildings above atleast 5 stories.

Yes it was announced in the CIDS. “stretch 1.75 from street. No standpipe. Scissor stairs.”

Marine units were also assigned. seems like there are a handful or more of NYCHA complexes in city that are under or about 7 stories without standpipes that require many lengths.

The original nycha buildings were 6 stories. The high rises were built around them in many of the nycha complexes. If under 75’, no standpipe. It’s more than a handful of buildings

What is odd? That its not a 2 1/2 on the CIDS?

If the building complies with the 50 foot hallway rule, we can stretch 1 3/4
