At 12:51 pm today the Long Beach Fire Department received a report of a house fire on Boyd Street and the Bay, Engine 2344 was first due, transmitted the Working Fire and stretched a 2" hose line to the 2nd floor where a bedroom was on fire.
Engine 2343 assisted in the stretching of the hose line while Ladders 2362 and 2372 performed ventilation and overhaul.
Long Beach Units on scene Ambulance 2319, Ambulance 2321, Engine's 2344, 2343, 2341, Ladder's 2362, 2372 and Command Post 234.
Fire is not suspicious and under the investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshals Office, and the Long Beach Police Department. No injuries were reported.
We were assisted at the scene by the Point Lookout Lido FD and the Island Park Fire Department.
During the alarm the Oceanside NY Fire Department , Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department , Inwood Fire Department , Baldwin Fire Department , Woodmere Vol. Fire Department , East Rockaway Fire Department, and Atlantic Beach Rescue stood by in our Firehouses in case of any other alarms.
All Fire Department Operations were under the Command of Chief Hadrick Ray and Assistant Chiefs Marino and Babich.
