No one was injured after a school bus erupted in flames in Durham Friday.

A school bus in Durham caught fire Friday afternoon near American Drive and White Pine Drive.

Today around 2:00 PM we responded to a call of a school bus on fire near the intersection of American Drive and White Pine Drive. Upon arrival the bus was engulfed in flames and heavy smoke.
All 23 students and the bus driver were able to exit the vehicle without injury, and it took around 15 minutes to get the fire under control.
Durham Public Schools have been made aware of the incident and all students have been accounted for and taken care of by DPS. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
