I worked with Steve on Watkins Street. He came to the truck around 94 or 95. What I remember most was his smile, he was always smiling from the beginning of the tour to the end of the tour. Steve was really into the job as well as into the books. He would always pickup my late watch for a chance to study, and I didn't mind that at all. The last time I saw him was at 120's Centennial and I asked him now that you're an officer do you still smile as much. He gave me a big smile and said Well..maybe not as much as I did on Watkins Street. REST IN PEACE, STEVE.

Even sick he came out to Billy Moon's plaque dedication at 133 just a month before he passed.
