City Hall might wait a month before naming a replacement.Still no sign of her replacement being announced?
Bingo... Acting for now.Maybe a longshot, but what about First Deputy Commissioner, Pfeifer?
I don’t think you can compare the two at all. Yes he is a civilian. But he has a genuine affection for the FDNY and has always tried to help FDNY and NYPD from the outside in any way he could. The former had nothing for disdain for the members and what she “perceived “ the members to be. Robert has worked his ass off to build an amazing and well respected company. The former commissioner???? Built nothing- rode the political coattails of politicians for decades. So if you are not going to choose a current or former FDNY member, and go with a civilian, Mr. Tucker is not a bad choice. In reality, only time will tellGood luck to the new Commissioner he will need it. Seems he qualified for the position by chasing the fire engine on his bike when he was a child. Out of the frying pan into the fire seems to come to mind.
The city removed all the telephone booths years ago......just sayin'Gonna be a big crowd at the retirement racket? Does she know about it?
More like a BIG donor to the Democratic Party - and Eric Adams. This is a "thank you" position, nothing to do with ability to run the Dept..Good luck to the new Commissioner he will need it.
