Great to hear from my friend Herb Eysser, who is still active with the UFA Staff. A great guy and a Great FDNY Dispatcher, keep it up brother. I also think fondly of your brother B.C. George Eysser another friend and "Brother in the Battle". Until then "Maintain a constant state of readiness." "This could be the night". Captain Bob Rainey FDNY Engine 26 retired.

Drought causes more brush fires for City

Drought sparks record 215 NYC brush fires in two weeks: FDNY

As of Tuesday, the FDNY has responded to 229 brush fires across the five boroughs, Fire Commissioner Robert Tucker said.
