Complete - Trench Rescue; INC#0750; 04:54PM; 2333 N Catalina St; https://bit.ly/4dRkZPp; #LosFeliz; After nearly six hours of a relentless rescue effort in oppressive heat by dozens of Los Angeles Fire Department responders working seamlessly in non-stop rotation, the adult male construction worker has been skillfully removed from the unstable 8 (eight) foot deep trench at a residential construction site. In serious condition, he is soon to be transported by LAFD Paramedics to a regional trauma center. Two LAFD rescuers were treated at the scene for heat exhaustion, with one later taken to an area hospital for further medical evaluation. No other injuries reported. Don't see the vacuum truck listed as an LAFD asset, but there was one working there with something like 100 feet of pipe leading from the truck to the trench. Wonder how much vacuum loss they get in a stretch like that?

Let me do the math here. It's an eight foot deep trench. They say he buried up to between his waist and his shoulders. So, that makes him, what? ten feet tall?
