Just for the sake of discussion, 79/37 measure 1.5 mi from box 3303 and they have no traffic or traffic lights for much of that run along Southern boulevard from Webster Avenue to Fordham Road.
E42= 1.9 mi, E75 =2.0mi. That's half a mile difference, plus traffic. How do they figure that?

I grew up there and had lunch on Arthur Avenue just a few weeks ago. The stretch of Southern Boulevard that runs between the Botanical Gardens and Fordham University all the way to Fordham Road is a piece of cake compared to Engine 42 coming all the way across Tremont Avenue or Engine 75 coming all the way across Fordham Road.
