1919 - 1971 then became two separate companies.
Engine 1 got a rescue squad on 3/21/19. Thereafter, they were still listed on the running cards as Engine 1. Engine 1 became Rescue 1 on 6/30 71. On that same day, Engine 1 was reborn using manpower from the disbanded High Pressure Hose Companies. They were moved to #11 Truck House on West North Avenue on 6/27/73.

There are quite a few vacant firehouses around Baltimore. Beautiful buildings as well. From my time spent in the Mt. Vernon neighborhood, I remember a vacant FH on Calvert St and another on Guilford/Mt. Royal just a few blocks north.

Baltimore was once a thriving city. And it had great planning and architecture.
Calvert St - #16 Truck house
Guilford Ave - #28 Engine later #16 Truck then #19 Engine

By the looks of the occupancies, my money is on the Thai Wok as the origin. I know in Queens NY, 9/10 times when we got a taxpayer with an asian takeout within, that's usually the occupancy of origin - especially after midnight..
Two hydrants on that corner; one in front of that Bromo Seltzer tower and one Exp.4 side of the fire bldg.
