Traveling EB on the SI Expy last night; the WB side looked like a vollie parade with all the apparatus and chiefs responding along with units coming over the bridge from Brooklyn.
Is "Transmit the second on arrival" a new radio signal, and on arrival of whom? :D. I always thought that was a dispatcher's transmission.

I guess its both a notification of the 10-84 and that they want the 2-2. Although just saying "10-84, 2nd Alarm" would probably be faster

I’d assume it’s the same thing as using AH on arrival…just another alarm above because of the volume of fire. Obviously upon arrival of the first due unit transmitting it. 151 Engine may have even known, as mentioned above, that this box is one of the southernmost on the island therefore units coming in on the mere 10-75 are 10 minutes out.

Perth Amboy NJ units are closer than E162 who is 4th due on the initial. One has to think this is one of the boxes where E151 wants those resources heading their way as soon as possible given the very long response times

Didn’t help that E167 normally 4th seemed unavailable at the time. S/C later on
