Illinois college bans E-transportation devices.

Illinois State University in Normal Illinois has banned the indoor use and storage of all E transportation devices on its campus. They must be stored outside and seeing as how ISU has no outdoor charging stations for them this will pose a significant problem for their users. Officials stated that studies have shown that even in sprinkelered areas they were unable to contain fires because of the amount of heat generated by the Lithium-Ion batteries.

Smart move, before long those e-bikes will start looking like NY delivery driver scooters and bikes with the heavy mittens on the handlebars and shopping bag seat covers.
