could be they weren't sure if the patient was accessible or not , EX-if he fell into a basement they would have needed rope to bring him up
Could also be due to building stability. If the stairs just suddenly collapsed, could be due to structural deficiencies in the walls around the stairs. Had a similar thing happen at work (although on a much more minor scale)

Dispatchers discretion just like loading up the box for a fire you can get 10 calls but could just be a compactor doesn’t mean the box should be loaded.

SOC Support Ladders were dropped from 25 to 15 citywide. The 10 are just doing Decon only. But all 25 are doing Decon.

CPCs are being removed only keeping vent support trucks.

Does Squad second piece not go if a HMTU goes? and vice versa? The rundown has 2 Squads but no 2nd piece

Squad second piece probably went (like most definitely.) Both squad 2nd pieces go if the second squad is assigned as the hazmat tech

Few changes to the major from what was posted

3 engines
2 trucks (if none of the trucks are a TL, one is to be special called)
1 BC
1 Rescue task force (Rescue & collapse rig(+transport if required), squad & 2nd piece)
1 additional rescue
1 additional squad (w/2nd piece)
1 SSL
1 TSU
CT01
K901
FCU
RB01
SB01
SOC Compressor & Logistics
HB01
HM01
1 HM Tech Engine

On transit major, the rebreather unit & electric rail cart
On a trench rescue con-ed vac truck
And
On a confined space incident, the rebreather unit.

so just to clarify, both Squads bring the second piece AND a HMTU with Engine are assigned?
