I would add to this information to use ONLY a Fog Nozzle and Fog Stream on any electrical fire, including this one. The space between the droplets helps to prevent the electrical charge from traveling back to the Nozzle and the Nozzle team firefighters. The distance the nozzle team must be from the electrical charged fire, area depends upon the voltage and amperage of the electrical source and also on weather conditions such as HEAVY RAIN, SNOW. OR DENSE FOG. There are charts that give some guidance on the distance the hose streams must be from electrical fires. Captain Bob Rainey FDNY Engine 26 retired.
