When my class went through the PFD Academy in late 1972 we spent a week at the Navy Damage Control School at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. We used chemox (Navy called them OBA) on several evolutions. Complicated devices but they were longer duration than the Air Paks of the era.

We were still using them in the 80's. Finally made the transition to the scba's in the 90's. I was in from January 1980 til March 2005

I had forgotten about these wrenches. These and those black suitcases the air packs were stored in!
