Fire on the 1st floor of a 2 1/2 story 25x50 PD.

Box loaded up due to quantity and quality of calls.

0532 - E-273 - 10-75. Fire on the 1st floor of a PD.

L-125 FAST

0535 - Bn. 52 - Transmit the All Hands. Also transmit the 10-70 (E-274 Water Resource).

0538 - Div. 14 - 10-84. Start an extra Engine and Truck (E-298, TL-138).

0539 - Bn. 52 - 2 L/S, 1 L/O. Still on booster water. Trucks opening up.

0540 - Div. 14 - We have (2) 10-45 no codes.

0541 - Queens - Division 14, we're getting reports of fire at 142- 32 59 Avenue.

0541 - Div. 14 - We have a good hydrant and water on the fire. Have 298 & 138 check out the address on 59 Avenue.

0543 - Div. 14 - Start out Haz-Mat, we have an e-bike in the basement.

0549 - Div. 14 - 3 L/S, 1 L/O. Water on the fire. Primaries are negative on the 2nd floor. Notify Haz-Mat that there are several e-bikes in the basement.

0552 - Div. 14 - Primaries throughout are complete and negative. Start out another Truck (TL-164 act. TL-152). Also, the exposure on 59 Avenue is rubbish in the rear yard. Engine 298 and Ladder 138 are handling that.

0559 - Div. 14 - We have 6-7 e-bikes along with several batteries.

0601 - Div. 14 - 3 L/S/O. MBFKD. Chasing down hot spots. The (2) 10-45's are code 3. There appears to be some kind of e-bike repair shop in the basement.

0606 - Div. 14 - Start out another truck (L-165 act. L-129). Correction, primaries are still being conducted in the basement. Can you start out Haz-Mat Logistics.

0618 - Div. 14 - Primaries are negative throughout. Secondaries are negative on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Trucks continue to open up. PWH - Duration 51 minutes.

0621 - Div. 14 - We have an additional 10-45 code 4 from exposure 2. You can turn around the Thawing Apparatus.

0627 - Div. 14 - We need the Thawing Apparatus back on scene. Have them report to the command post.

0639 - Div. 14 - Haz-Mat is still taking care of the batteries. Put this fire Under Control - Duration 1 hour 12 minutes.

I'm sure that we all have watched videos of fires started or involving Li-Ion batteries. Those injured including the FD member were indeed lucky they didn't wind up in a burn center. Luckily, just 4 short blocks north, there was a Level 1 trauma center at New York Presbyterian..
