Firefighters from the Randolph District FD, Farmville FD and Cumberland FD fought a fire in the walls of a structure at 129 Thompson Road which extended into the attic. The photographer arrived on scene well into the incident. First arriving units found all residents had evacuated the structure and heavy smoke was pushing out of the attic and visibility was close to zero inside the structure. Initially it was difficult to find the seat of the fire which was in the walls around the chimney. Also, when a hatch to the attic was found their was a glow in the attic indicating some fire had extended into the attic. Companies opened the roof and located the fire in the walls and extinguished it. The call came in at 1646 hours and terminated the call at 1918 hours.
