I had the honor of knowing Dennis Collopy both when I worked at a Lieutenant Covering in the South Bronx and during my College Fire science studies. A great guy, great firemen and a friend. I will miss you brother. Captain Bob Rainey FDNY Engine 26 retired.
 
I was LT in 150 Truck (The Hollis Hogs), and was looking to go up to Harlem. I had a good idea of what I wanted. Called all the Captains, they told me what they had in mind. There was an unusual amount of LT spots available. Called then Captain, Dennis Collopy, of 26 Truck. His words to me were, do what you have to do. Never a problem or an issue. He knew the process. Great man from a Company who had many. RIP My Friend. The Fire Factory, 58/26, is a very special Shop on our Job…
