Howard Beach still hot. Another 1st due job for 331 & 173...... They have had so good work within the last month or so

Both units have seen a lot of work the last few weeks. At 1 point both relocated and went into fires.

Back before 173 was organized & 107 was still on New Jersey Ave 143 was 2nd Due Truck down to 165 Ave. on both sides of Crossbay Blvd.

I'm not surprised. Different times back then. I've talked to several of our older.members that were around back then, before 331/173 was formed there. They've said that if they were going to a call on the Blvd they had to watch for 285. They were in the engine foward rig and they had enough momentum they'd go thru you at 156 or 157 avenue.

Back then the small Bridge on 165 Ave over the water from Crossbay into the Old Howard side was still in service.
