Mystic FD responded to a report of a structure fire at 3 Hatch Street. First arriving units found a heavily involved 2 1/2 wood frame residence. Units requested mutual aid from numerous departments. The second floor of the building collapsed and operations switched to exterior ops. Power lines came down in front of the building hindering operations and causing a significant power outage in the area.
Departments responding: Mystic FD, Old Mystic FD, Poquonnock Bridge FD, Sub Base FD (FAST), Ledyard FD, Stonington PD, Mystic River EMS, Lawrence and Memorial Hospital Paramedics.
One injured civilian was transported by EMS. Operations were also effected by a report of firearms in the residence.
