Caller reported fire near her house. Car 4 on scene called working fire 2 1/2 wood fire on the exterior of the house on the delta side extending to the roof.
Minor extention to the interior of the house, fire contained to the exterior of the house on the delta side.

Main street reopens after house fire in East Haven

Part of Main Street was closed for a house fire on Wednesday afternoon in East Haven.

At approximately 3:38 PM, the East Haven Public Safety was alerted to a reported structure fire at the 400 block of Main Street in the center of town. Upon arrival, crews found an exterior fire extending up the side of the building. First-arriving companies quickly knocked down the bulk of the fire. Luckily, there were no reported civilian or firefighter injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the East Haven Acting Fire Marshal.
