3/3/2021 Queens All Hands - Under Control Box 3194

I was 13 years old and also buffed this. I remember walking around the block a few times and seeing the Super Pumper.

The chart above doesn't show L58 as being in the 18th battalion from 1981-1984 but they shared quarters?

2020 Runs & Workers are online.

The one that jumps out at me is L133. They only do 1600 runs but 100 all-hands or greater? That's a great ratio and I certainly thought they ran around more than that.

Did the E176 firehouse sit vacant from 1974 to 1992? R3 must have had to do some major cleaning before moving in.

Are there many 40xx series boxes in Bayside? When I saw this post title I thought it would be a Ridgewood box.

    Favorite Fire House

Active firehouses E74. Non-active houses it's a toss up between E15 on Henry or R2 on Bergen St. Love the old firehouses that so rich in history.

Kinda surprising that they built the house on Pitt Street with a firehouse when the Broome St firehouse was only 34 years old at the time. It's also amazing looking at the pictures just how much Broome Street has changed over the years.

15's old house was great. I stopped in once or twice for a cup of coffee when I worked down there. They used to talk about how the station was built by Boss Tweed. I remember the stairs to the kitchen on the 3rd floor were really long and steep. Wouldn't have wanted to miss your step near the top.

I have a question about E71/L55 old house on Park Ave. It looks like there is a bay that fronts on to 159 St. Did the battalion come out of there? It appears that due to the slope of the street the 159 St bay would be a floor below the main apparatus floor. If the battalion did respond from...

    NYC Hospital Numbers

I'll add what I remember... 01 Beekman (not sure what its called now), 02 Bellevue, 03 Beth Israel, 21 Vinnys (closed), 63 Cabrini (closed), 14 Cornell. Wow... guess my memory is starting to go as that's all I can remember.

A lot of history there I wasn't aware of. Did the 60 have administrative duties? Was 209 in the 35 before 2003?

So 229/146 are in the 35 but 238/106 are in the 28? I realize this is for administrative duties, but it seems odd that the 28 would need to drive almost past 229/146 to get to 238/106.

    New Tillers

Weren't 151 and 173 tillers well into the mid-90's? I could be wrong but I thought when I worked as a medic in Queens from 92-97 that 151 was a tiller then.

    First Due A/H Statistics & Rankings - 2020 & 2019

Great job. Just a comment, not saying it's wrong, but I can't believe 126 only had 14 first due fires.

12/16/20 Brooklyn All Hands Box 177

I'm not sure how it works with Squads, but would 288 go as 3rd due engine before 216? That's a pretty easy run for them.
