Here is the even older Brooklyn FD Shop at Canton & Bolivar Sts.  Bolivar ran east-west between Willoughby & Myrtle opposite the western side of Fort Greene Park. Probably former vollie house next door, Lafayette Engine 5 which was on Canton Street now used by BFD.

Wasn't the bridge that restricted Towers just beyond, and south of, the entrance to the Rock?  At one time the roadway spanned Little Hell Gate a waterway that separated Randalls and Wards Islands. L146 was organized on Richardson Street in January 1916.  I understood the new quarters was supposed to house the (never organized) Water Tower 7.  So as built, one bay may have lettered Hook & Ladder 146, and the other Water Tower 7.  Just before that E229 moved to that house in 1915.  I think...

I remember Engine 206's two pieces were the last, lasting into the 1970s. While most other two-piece engines had 1954 Macks or 1950s Wards as second pieces.  Last I remember was 206 had a pair of c1965 Mack C-model diesels.  A really sharp looking set.
