was a cop there in the 84pct 1974-75
upscale neighborhood much like greenwich village in manhattan
very liberal residents...enjoyed the security we provided to them
yet..would not hesitate to register a civilian complaint against a cop (direct line to the commanding officer of the 84pct)
the hipsters...a peace and love members of society who believe in wokeism and 'dei'... yet they moved into the neighborhoods of williamsburg , bushwick and bed-stuy willing to pay higher rents which in turn chased out the locals who have/had roots in these communities.
anyone who actually worked...
corrupt politicians insulating themselves by giving up those on the bottom of the food chain.
just like in the 70s going after the cop taking a free cup of coffee.
hope this isnt the case.
what niosh failed to mention in their critic was...
the removal of the scaling ladders from all our rigs
the fire escape the members were near had no gooseneck ladder to the roof
the scaling ladder could have been used as a gooseneck ladder to the roof
maybe not practical here in this situation...
long run for all engine and truck companies to that isolated part of the middle of staten island
curious about the 10-84 time
a definite need for at least an engine co. in that area
