    FDNY fire marshals

Another key person is the Chief on the scene who may have made the fire suspicious, 10-41, and the reason behind that. Sometimes it could be the amount of fire upon arrival or a witness that saw something and told the Chief. Marshal's pretty much respond later than the Co.'s that responded...

    A LOOK BACK.

    DIFFERENT CITY .....SAME CRIME SITUATION.

The people of Chicago don't care about crime, just like NY, otherwise they would have voted for the crime fighting candidates. The number of people shot there on a weekend proves my point.

    FDNY fire marshals

To some extent we do work with detectives. When an arson fire is detected F.M. files a complaint report with the P.D.. We do most of the interviews our self with the victims or possible witnesses to the crime or even if fire is accidental, such as food on the stove or electrical. I had one fire...

VETERANS BOOTED FROM HOTELS IN FAVOR OF ILLEGAL ALIENS.

Don't know for sure but probably that General Miley that Biden named and is pushing transgender in the military. What a sad state of affairs were in.

VETERANS BOOTED FROM HOTELS IN FAVOR OF ILLEGAL ALIENS.

If you don't think Trump was better for the country than lying Biden than you better open your eyes.

VETERANS BOOTED FROM HOTELS IN FAVOR OF ILLEGAL ALIENS.

It unfortunately began with that inept President that people thought was going to unite the Country. That has been so far from the truth. This guy lies at every chance he gets, including his cabinet.

    5/2/23 Brooklyn 4th Alarm Box 3891

I guess the Fire Commissioner was there directing Fire operations. Maybe that's why it went to a 4th alarm.

    DEMOTIONS & REASSIGNMENTS.

The stupidity of a female Fire Commissioner lies completely on the inept Mayor of the City. Here is a woman who has no knowledge of fire operations or really how FDNY operates. So what positive input or changes can she make to the already best Fire Dept in the world. She wants her own team, but...

    DEMOTIONS & REASSIGNMENTS.

The best part of all this BS is that FDNY still proves it is the best under adverse conditions. They continue to respond and do what is necessary to get the job done. I was there for the strike and the layoffs and the Brothers back then, no females on the job back then, continued to serve the...

    DEMOTIONS & REASSIGNMENTS.

I think the real blame has to go to an incompetent Mayor who has no idea what he is doing. Lets put a Lady in as Fire Commissioner because the FDNY has never had one. Does she even know the difference between an Engine and a Truck?

    Famous Folks/Fireman Fathers

I remember a Lt. Volpe covering in the Tin House a real long time ago maybe 45 years ago. If a relation maybe his son's son.

    New/replacement firehouses

About a year ago I passed the 44 EMS station which was our old firehouse. They had rigs parked in the middle of Rockaway Ave and a vacant lot up the block with rigs parked in it. They probably could get at least 4 of them in Qtrs.. Probably at least 2-3 I saw on the Ave. and in the lot 6-7. Try...

    FDNY apparatus placement

My 20 years in 176 we always had a 100 Ft. aerial. When Capt. Vigiano was assigned the Co. he asked the chauffeurs if the 125 Ft. aerial would be a good choice to replace the 100 footer. We all agreed it would not be in our best interest to have the longer aerial. Our defense was most of the...

    Ladder 145

Boy did I open a can of worms which was all about a typo. I knew a few guys at 307-154. My fellow car pool buddy from Proby School at welfare Island was assigned 307. I thought he was lucky that he got a Queens Co., never knew how busy they were, I was assigned 233-2 in Brooklyn and thought I...

    Ladder 145

I just read on D.O. #39 that a retired member, FF Thomas George passed away from L 145. I don't remember that Co., but he retired in 73 so maybe that Co. was disbanded when 2nd sections got the axe.

NEW YORK CITY COUNCIL PROPOSE E-BIKE CHARGING STATIONS AT FIRE, POLICE STATIONS

I can just see the theft of batteries on the rise. Common sense is the big problem here. Leaving batteries at a Firehouse, and Co. catches a job for several hours and now battery and firehouse gone. Who comes up with these insane ideas? Put a timer on the charger so it doesn't cook the battery...

    3/5/23 Bronx 5th Alarm Box 4794

In the blackout in July of 1977 a 10th Alarm was transmitted for Knickerbocker & Bleeker. Although route cards only went to a 5th, Guess the computer was able to dig deep and get a 10th alarm out there.
