I wonder if this “old” transmission, “Drop the Box” will start be used like the use of “ dropping down to a 10-18” by some?
Still would like to know how many units were being used prior to “dropping down”?

So as I questioned earlier, it is still based on medical leave, & nothing about budget cuts. So now when LOD medical leave goes up, what’s the city’s next move, close companies?
168 was originally assigned as the extra truck, but 148 told dispatcher they were on Ft. Parkway, possibly from a previous box in the 50’s & was assigned & 168, told to go 10-8. 40 was up from same box because they requested a size up from 241.
Met Tom when I did a vacation or two in 108, a real nice guy/gentleman & we had a mutual acquaintance. My old Lieut in 114 was Dan Marshall, who became the Capt. of 43 truck & Tom was his Lt. Marshall was also a firefighter in 108 before getting promoted to Lt.
Rest In Peace, Tom.🙏
