    Temporary Relocations

May seem like a dumb question but are 1st/2nd/3rd due box assignments adjusted at all when a company is relocated like that or does everyone keep the same boxes?

    FDNY Type 2 Ambulances

I don’t know about the vans but I know the area I work in that uses the box style has a chair on the driver side also, often called the “cpr chair” although I’ve never sat while doing CPR. It is nice to have the space for someone to stand there

    2/17/23 Staten Island 4th Alarm 10-60/10-66 Box 3592

Most places that run with staffing of “4 firefighters” are including the officer in that count. An officer and 3. That is what NFPA means also 4 firefighters is the total crew on the rig

    Special Units Relocating

Seems a little strange to me that if a Squad acting as a Rescue is still a Squad and another Rescue is assigned then why doesn’t the Squad just relocate to a vacant Squad in the borough. Maybe because while they are still assigned as a Squad they don’t have 1st, 2nd, 3rd due engine...

    Special Units Relocating

The 4th alarm - 10-60/10-66 has me wondering about a couple things. Mainly when SOC units relocate do they bring their second piece? When a Squad is acting as a Rescue can they still me assigned as a hazmat unit? Therefore needing their second piece or are they only assigned as a Rescue? Also I...

    Foam Unit 294

Is there still a foam unit at E294? The pic in fdnyrigs is one of the new ones and the FAQ on this site lists it however the runs and workers on fdnewyork for 2021 does not list it. Thanks for the replies.

    10-60 Signal

I believe it means that if the evolution is something like 3&2 or the Major Matrix, then a 10-60 code 1 is transmitted, a second alarm is also transmitted.

    10-60 Signal

Thanks for that link Signal73 but I do not see much in there that relates to 10-60, maybe I missed it I got my answer about if the 10-60 is ever given as the initial response which sounds like no it is not. But still unsure about if a 10-60 is transmitted by IC if it brings the response (say of...

    10-60 Signal

Hello everyone I have a couple questions about the 10-60, TIA for your replies! Is a 10-60 ever assigned as the initial dispatch by dispatchers or is it only used by a chief after the initial response? If a Major Collapse Matrix is the initial dispatch and then a 10-60 is transmitted is it a...
