    I have always been curious as to what the rationale was to put 225 and 107 in new quarters a good distance from their former respective quarters and organize brand new companies in the 'vacated' quarters of 225 and 107. Wouldn't it have just been easier to put 332 and 175 in the new house...

    Port Authority PD double as ARFF. FDNY has command on structural fires. It's a shame the Port Authority radio system went encrypted. I miss this system the most.

    I've noticed the trend last couple years that they send in the relocators on the multiples and just re-fill the spot. Sometimes there are third and fourth sections of the first alarm units (like 4 sections of 41 truck tonight)

    100% spot on... they panic now and salt out the door in the 40's and 50's even though no frozen precip is forecast for another six hours. By that time, anything put down is already gone. All a direct result of December 2010. They just refuse to get caught with their pants down again. Screwing up...

    Just for fun, if you do google maps traffic right now, DIV 8 is the farthest at 17 miles but the fastest right now at 29 minutes (using the Belt Pkwy of all highways lol) The 13 is 35 minutes at 15 miles The 15 is 33 minutes at 11 miles
