R I P George He was a fixture at many of the events E81/L46 ran over the years,all Christmas parties, Super Bowl party and most recently the centennial , god bless his wife and family during this tough time.

L-52 had a Mack MB pulling what became the last in service wooden ladder, cant find photo of it taken at rock when L-52 gave up the last wooden aerial for a hand me down metal aerial ladder. (Seagrave or American LaFrance)

Actually 80/23 are scheduled to move home around may of this year. I do believe some of the money was allocated from the 63/39 project which is now hopefully starting this year.

Construction is well underway at the EMS location, probably opening later this year, the renovations at 63/39/15 has been delayed a few times due to budget issues. Latest is April for start date on there quarters.

E-63 & L-39 are quartered together in E-63's firehouse on E 233rd st. Battalion 15 is also in the firehouse. The firehouse is scheduled for some renovation work to accomodate all who are quartered there. L-39's old firehouse has been torn down and an EMS Station is now being constructed on that...

Big Andy I assume you meant pd's. The response area for 62/32 contains large MD's, Taxpayers, High Rise MD's and Private Dwellings. Plus the usual mix of odd occupancies rehabbed buildings and so on. Many taxpayers under white plains road, due to elevated train and noise, ask the guys in 62/32...

fdce54 Engine 45 has always been at their original quarters, the new building which is attached to E45 houses Ladder 58 and the 18th Battalion. There are break throughs in walls between the houses allowing access but E45 has always stayed in its firehouse.

If I remember correctly they were relocated on Super Sunday night and then when sent back to quarters told to get personal stuff and given assignments for other companies. 232 was closed and padlocked. I think the relocation was false, just a way to get company out so house could be closed. Not...
