Wonder where E288 was that night. Should have been first due and responded 3.5 hours into the fire.

    E206 area

I mentioned a while back how it seemed odd that E206 really never picked up any of the high volume of work in Bushwick and Williamsburg in the war years. Chief JK told me when I asked, that 206 was just out of the area where all the work was happening and really didn't run like neighboring 271...

I'm a big fan of Rosa's Sicilian. Very similar to L&B with the sauce on top.

I think 28/11 could get in before 33/9. Easy run up Ave B as opposed to all the turns 33/9 have to make.

    TIME TO DUMP SOME HUMPS.

As I read this it made me think of the 80's and Bernie Goetz. When will the law abiding citizens say enough is enough and fight back?

Doesn't 324 only have 1st 2nd and 3rd due boxes as an engine?

    2/21/22 Bronx 2nd Alarm Box 4329

I suppose this would mean less fires for those "must fill" companies who do not relocate.

FDNY and NYC Firehouses and Fire Companies - 2nd Section

Looking on Google maps at L175 old quarters on New Jersey Ave, it appears the firehouse is one of the few buildings still standing on the street. Was that block all wood frames that burned during the war years?

1/27/2022 Manhattan All Hands Box 8154

Do BARB assignments take in one way streets as a factor? It seems 16/7 would have to make a left out of quarters and travel all the way to Lex then to 23 St and make a left if you're following one way streets. I know generally 16/7 would just go against traffic on E29 St to 2nd Ave. Just...

1/6/22 Manhattan All Hands Box 418

Anyone know the actual order when everyone is available for 418? L11 has a straight run up E2 St but it switches to one way against them at 1 ave.

    Second sections

I often forget that 50/50-2/19/Div 6 were on E166 St until 1976. During all those busy war years they were coming out of that old house on a tight little street too.

    12/31/21 Brooklyn 10-75 Box 208

Chief, I find it very interesting to learn of how fires in the 60's and 70's effected the makeup of neighborhoods. I was looking on the map at the Seigel St area and I see Seigel Court. Were those house on Seigel Court constructed after 108 moved to Union?

Fraunces Tavern Bombing DC Jonas's Division 7 Newsletter October - November 2021

Is there one place to try to find all of Chief Jonas' training newsletters? I was most interested to try to find one he did on the Father's Day Fire.

    12/3/21 Boston MA 2nd Alarm Box 3478

Was E50 relocated? Seems like a long ride from Charlestown to South Dorchester. I don't know much about BFD, but I have been to E50's house a few times on buff trips.

    RTA

In the busy years while the bells were still being used, how did they account for companies being out of position? For example if E42 was over in E50's area and another box was transmitted in 50's area that 42 wasn't normally due on would they just let the 3 engines normally assigned respond or...
