This might be a dumb question but is the Satellite not automatic on the second alarm? Or is the communications office given the leeway to not dispatch it since it is for a power outage?
I’m sure they might save some money on training too
With the reduction in units is there a reduction in service? Meaning do they not respond to some things they used to be assigned on?
My guess is those pumps could be placed in the river or body of water and pump to the super pumper who then relay pumps to satellites or tower ladders. Not all incidents will be right next to the water like this one was.
Now imagine you had to deal with CAD to USD exchange rate on all those rigs. The engines my dept ordered were about $1.4M per rig. And we’ve ordered about 20 the last 3 years
