By my mapping, E63/L39/BN15 are 13 minutes away from this box, meaning some large portion of that mutual aid assignment was much further away than the FDNY units. Wonder what the rationale was for not getting this requested or approved quickly.

They don't relocate squads to rescues anymore, and in any event, SQ8's quarters is more centrally located to cover the Island. That said, I am not sure why they moved 288 instead of squad 1 as it seems squad 1 is the most common SOC relocation to the Island.
