    1/22/24 Queens 10-75 Box 1247

Wonder why, if entry is correct, 148 relocates to 137? Seems quite some time for area to be uncovered while 148 transits from Boro Park. A few companies closer to highway & bridges.

1/21/24 Brooklyn All Hands Box 922

Went to high school on Albany & Bergen in early ‘60’s. Came in one morning & 4 story tenements across the street on Albany were heavily fire damaged, probably a 3rd or higher. Probably same box.

I guess when box assignment’s were “re-evaluated” distance & other factors changed some assignments, was my original pst question. Thanks all.

    1/14/24 Brooklyn 2nd Alarm Box 1290

    According to rundown 105 s/c & 111 relocating to 131. Another post was a 2&2 in 219’s area, which is 105’s. Have to see request/assigned times for 105 s/c & their location & 111’s assignment time & location.

    1/14/24 Brooklyn 2nd Alarm Box 1290

Going back a number of comments, I opined why L105 was s/c before L114, as 114 at least a 1/4 mile closer & more direct to box? 114 went on the 2nd alarm. One reponse was that 114 assigned on 2nd. True, but if 114 is 1st due on a 2nd on the alarm assignment card, if still used, they would of...

    1/14/24 Brooklyn 2nd Alarm Box 1290

Interesting that 105 goes before 114, even though 114 closer & more direct, unless out elsewhere.

12/9/2023 Brooklyn All Hands Box 1663

    Jack, I even heard a company officer give a 10-18 for a 10-92.

12/9/2023 Brooklyn All Hands Box 1663

10-18 is a specific signal, no need to say”dropping down”.

    Exactly.

12/9/2023 Brooklyn All Hands Box 1663

I wonder if this “old” transmission, “Drop the Box” will start be used like the use of “ dropping down to a 10-18” by some? Still would like to know how many units were being used prior to “dropping down”? Post is meant for input/comments.

12/6/23 Brooklyn All Hands Box 1472

    I would think L109 before L147.

12/2/23 No More 5 Man Engines

So as I questioned earlier, it is still based on medical leave, & nothing about budget cuts. So now when LOD medical leave goes up, what’s the city’s next move, close companies?

12/2/23 No More 5 Man Engines

I just remember it happening when sick leave went up too high. Wonder what union got in return?
