I think 135 is ahead of 138 and 143 there. Maybe they were tied up elsewhere.

    LAD*18 FORT PITT .

I asked in another forum but did not see an answer, were the Delancey St side bays ever occupied? Back in the very early 2000's there was talk of moving ESU Truck 1 there.

Fabulous Firehouses become Homes and Businesses

What is happening with 212 old quarters? Does the city still own that? That's a neighborhood that could use additional fire protection.

Surprised 288 isn't first if 287 was out. Maybe 288 was elsewhere.

    SUPER PUMPER 1

I stopped working downtown in the early 2000's. Did anything ever move into the Delancey St side of the Pitt St firehouse? There was rumor years ago that ESU was going to move there.

So they can see the house on something similar to Google street view? It's not live like citizen? Wonder what made the chief give the 2nd prior to arrival

Yonkers, NY- General Alarm Fire 03-08-23

That must only be a Yonkers rule. So they'd rather use volunteer departments from Northern Westchester than use the FDNY?

    3/5/23 Bronx 5th Alarm Box 4794

I understand, however there's little chance of them getting on the fire if they're not relocating to one of the units on the 1st alarm since they send relocators ahead of the companies who would normally be on the greater alarms.

    3/5/23 Bronx 5th Alarm Box 4794

Do you think you'll see guys not wanting to work in companies that do not relocate? If you're in one of these companies, likely your only opportunity to catch work is if you're 1st-4th on the first alarm now.

    FDNY Type 2 Ambulances

Do FDNY ambulances still have the stretcher mount against the side wall so that the stair chair can be lifted into the rear of the unit? This was a game changer in the rain and/or snow.

FDNY and NYC Firehouses and Fire Companies - 2nd Section

I remember growing up not too far away in the 70's and 80's and driving past 206's old quarters. It was full of graffiti with many of the windows broken out. I wonder if there's any pictures of it from that time.

FDNY FF/EMS EQUAL PAY DISPARITY CLASS ACTION - FEDERAL SUIT 1/10/2023

As someone who worked 12 years in the voluntary system I couldn't agree more. I passed up going to NYC*EMS because I was doing so well in the voluntaries. I kick myself everyday for this decision as many of my friends are now retiring with a pension. You don't think about these things when...
