Hi Signal no report from the 45 of any manholes going off on the Island or Manhattan. So that reporting is suspect. I live within a half a mile of Roosevelt felt nothing here.

Way back The FDNY had the Fire Patrol if we remember those disbanded units. I believe each borough had one. These units would help mitigate water damage to the floors below using tarps canvas back then i believe. Redirect water using Dikes.

I see that the City of Newark is undergoing a major upgrade in its equipment. Good to see the firefighters being properly equipped. Newark at one time i believe a 2 Towers ladders but in the last 20 years have had none. Is it the money or the need that the city has not acquired at least 1 ?

They do have a Boat but its more like a summer boat like the seasonal ones FDNY Uses , it does have a deck Gun but not suitable for this type of Heavy Seated fire. Its moored on Washington Blvd .
