    DeKalb CO, GA Service for FF Killed During Rescue of Member FF

    Very fitting service. A side note of interest, the Georgia Mutual Aid Association covered all of Dekalb County with 26 Engines and 5 ladder companies so the entire department could attend the service.As typical with Dekalb, the relocators caught a job while in service.

    Actually, Metro Nashville has been generous with raises for the FD. I think this class is EMS only so they will be be suppression. Rob, chime in if I'm off-base on this. I think the shifts are 12 hours.

    When the ladder goes up, the building goes down. The first pic I saw of the fire was smoke venting from a roof vent hole cut by Truck 37. Looked like a middle unit. The next photo I saw was the entire roof structure either going or gone.
