E94 had the gasoline pump ignite while fueling the engine. Took out the 2nd floor and the 3rd floor locker room. Commissioner tried to blame the ECC for smoking while fueling; Al J. never smoked a day in his life.

Someone asked elsewhere on social media - when a plane lands, the engines are somewhat reversed in full thrust for braking. Did the engines shut down automatically on impact, or did they have to be shut down, how and by whom?

Wouldn't FAA be part of the mix as far as responsibility? Generally, evening departures supposedly cease after 2330 hours. The only activity, I'm told is the occasional incoming flight after midnight.. That being the case, why would FAA allow only ONE ATC in the tower before the midnight...

So many great dispatchers we have been previleged to talk with over the years, only knowing them by their numbers.. Too bad we didn;t know their names as well. I wish when they publish them on a Department Order, they would also include their dispatcher number.:confused:
