Thank God they were not hit. Again, why would anyone want to work in conditions like that for the same pay as a McDonalds worker….unless you are fast tracking onto the FD. These men and women definitely deserve a lot more pay.

Wow how quickly we forget these things. Yes that’s right….. L038 had some long runs as second due up that way. And the runs and worker volume back then wasn’t even close to what it is today. Good observation!

Ref rope rescue. I don’t know hard to tell looking at the photo. Member is close to the gooseneck yet is out from the building and no hand contact on gooseneck and several members on the roof directly above.
