    FROM HORSES TO HORSEPOWER, A HISTORY OF PHILADELPHIA FIRE APPARATUS 1871 TO 2017 has just been released.  The author is PFD Historian Jack Wright who also writes the Philadelphia column in Fire Apparatus Journal.  272 pages. $45.     INSIDE LONDON FIRE BRIGADE

    I came across a three part series INSIDE LONDON FIRE BRIGADE on you tube.  Each episode is about 45 minutes.  I found it to be an interesting look at the operation of the LFB.  Had to be done quite recently because there is a lot of Grenfell Tower coverage.

    BROOKLYN DEPARTMENT STORE FIRE

    Reading about the job in Macy's in downtown Brooklyn brought something to mind.  Does anybody have info on a department store fire in Brooklyn sometime in the 70s.  I seem to remember it was a daytime fire with civilian deaths.  Thanks !
