I think it closed not too long after they lost the aerial contracts to Seagrave. I'm pretty sure it only existed for warranty service for the FDNY contracts. The new regional dealer opened a facility on Long Island a while back so maybe they handle the FDNY work now.

Pierce doesn’t make a stainless steel cab which is a sticking point for the FDNY. They only offer stainless bodies. Ferrara and KME both basically designed cabs specifically for the FDNY.

The quoted price seems incredibly high. The average cost for a heavy rescue is probably between $1.5 and $2 million right now. Even with how detailed FDNY's specs are, I couldn't see a rescue costing more than an Aerialscope. Maybe the price also includes all new equipment but unless that's...
