During the “War Years”, we, L114, would be turned out for some 1400 & 2600 boxes for work, that were actually L14’ boxes & other Manhattan & Bronx companies. Somehow, boro CO’s being so busy & transmission lines getting crossed, it happened. Probably those companies were sent out to our boxes...

Spoke to 40Bn. Chief & he said he gave the 10-75. Love to see the 10-84’s for units. Straight down 4th ave for 40 & 114 & fire bldg close to 4th ave.

114 was always 2nd due @ 1439, straight down 5th avenue & 122 was 1st due. Probably changed with new FH location. Boxes from 27th into 30’s, along 3rd ave & 2nd avenues, it was 131 & 114.

That’s crazy. 228 about 6 blocks away, straight up 39st & 240, Prospect Ave & Greenwood Ave has to go around & over the expressway to Ft Hamilton Pkwy & E 5th st & then out to 39th st. That response should be changed, in my opinion. One is less than a mile away, the other 1&1/2 to 2 miles away.

No way 240 beats 228 in, 228 much closer, unless they were elsewhere when assigned.

True, but I saw the “normal assignment” post. That was always a 2nd due box, but moving dn to 4th avenue might have changed that.
