Great catch Skyler of the new Pilot self contained breathing apparatus being evaluated by E75 and B19. Nice closeups of the accompanying FAST paks as well. Intresting though that one of the members from 75 is wearing a Scott while the others are wearing Draeger.

Back in the day they certainly did. They knew “Their boro” like their own neighborhood. Not so sure about today with the combined PSAPS and the people that take the job just for the paycheck and benefits.

I remember being shown this film at the Rockland County Fire Training Center in 1976. Later I would come to use all those tools on actual incidents. Even the old Porto Power set and the Hurst model 32.
