L46~39 made sense back then, G-man.

32, 37, and 39 all out on the 2d alarm. Get L46 on the Deegan to Woodlawn pronto. If the 3d alarm came in soon, L51 goes and now Wakefield would be uncovered also. That left L38 first due to any box that might then come in Woodlawn, L41 to Wakefield. Way too long a run.

They planned ahead in those days.

Thanks for the card. Great info.

Nice stop made by the members.
L-37 had the stick up on Gun Hill side.
TL-46 on Rochambeau Ave.
TL-51 on the corner of Rochambeau & Gun Hill
BN-27,E-63,E-62 & H&L-39 were at Box 3806 (4031 Carpenter Ave. at 228th St.) just prior to Box 3579.
E-62 gave a 10-75 and requested an extra E&T, fire out a couple of windows on top Fl.

52's would probably have to go down to Broadway, across VCPSouth and up the hill, make the left on Mosholu and take a right on Gun Hill. I could see 48 beating them in and maybe a tie with 75.

150,

Might be faster for the 52's to go on the HH Pkwy north, take it around to Mosholu Extension, then to Gun Hill. Longer run, but faster. No lights, less turns. I don't know how their chauffeurs take it.

48 staight up Webster to Gun Hill. 75 straight up the Concourse to Jerome to Gun Hill, or straight up Jerome. I'm betting on 48 and 75. No turns. Maybe 97 also, Eastchester to Gun Hill, straight shot again to Rochambeau. Hell, 88, Third to Webster to Gun Hill.

The 10-84's would tell the tale.
