0511 - Bn. 32 - Using 1x2, checking out a smoke condition.

0513 - Bn. 32 - Transmit the 10-75. We have a fire in the shaft between 289 & 291 Nevins St.

0515 - Bn. 32 - One line being stretched, you can 10-2 the Marine company.

0517 - Bn. 32 - All Hands - 1 L/S/O, trucks opening up, searches in progress.

0522 - Bn. 32 - We have a second line being stretched into exposure 2.

0529 - Div. 11 - AVFKD, trucks opening up and checking for extension. Primaries are negative on the top floor of both buildings. DWH

0546 - Div. 11 - We still have a light smoke condition, trucks continue to open up, secondaries are in progress.

0554 - Div. 11 - Secondaries are negative in exposure 2, secondaries underway in the fire building. PWH - Duration 55 minutes.

Interesting run for Marine 6. Is the Gowanus Canal deep enough for them to get all the way up there?

Interesting run for Marine 6. Is the Gowanus Canal deep enough for them to get all the way up there?

The NOAA chart only shows the depth up to the Hamilton Ave Bridge in the canal, which is 16 feet. A different document online says the depth in the canal ranges from 4 to 16 feet. Marine 6's Bravest has a draft of 3 feet and the small boat 6A has a draft of 25 inches, so it seems like the small boats would definitely make it and the Bravest as well.
