Not a new type of Windows . . . but you do need Google Earth (a real memory hog, IMHO).

Hi,
Sorry, I should have pointed out it's a Google Earth .kmz file and yes Google Earth is a memory hog and can be unstable but it is handy to be able to look up a intersection and find the box number - kind of a 'reverse box look up", as far as I'm aware there isnt a website around that will let you do that.

Steve

Edit: Thanks to a pm from kfd274, I checked the other FDNY Goggle Earth files from the site &  it appears that only the Brooklyn, Bronx and Manhattan have box information.

You've posted a bunch of old cards, today, Tom.  Been poking around in that Collyer's Mansion in your basement? ::) ;D
