Fire on the 1st floor of a 3 story frame 20x60 PD.

0911 - H&L-143 -Transmit the 10-75 for heavy smoke in a PD.  We are searching for the source.

L-151 FAST

0916 - Bn. 51 - Using All Hands for fire in the walls on the 1st floor.  1 L/S/O, searches in progress, trucks opening up.

0919 - Bn. 51 - We had fire in the walls in a 1st floor setback.  Fire is extinguished, no extension.  PWH - Duration 12 minutes.

0923 - Div. 13 - All searches are complete and negative.  Under Control - Duration 16 minutes.

This is a problematic block it runs from Jamaica Ave to Park Lane South w/no cross streets in between....it is basically the equivalent  of 4 long blocks & it curves somewhat & runs North from Jamaica Ave......294/143 are close by & after they enter the block civilian cars unknowingly enter before 293 /142 arrive creating problems.....large MDs right off Jamaica Av & many frames (some attached) farther up the block. .........http://www.vpike.com/?place=86-21+98+st+queens+ny&submit=Street+View&r=e
