Address: 60 E 42 Street at Park Ave.

Fire on the 48 floor of a 55 story 180x200 office building.

1459 - Bn. 8 - Transmit a 10-76.  We have a fire on the 48th floor.  Attack Stair "Y".  Fire is contained at this time.

L-16 FAST

1502 - Bn. 8 - MBFKD, searches in progress.

1506 - Bn. 8 - All visible fire knocked down.  Trucks opening up, primaries are negative on the 48 floor.

1509 - Bn. 8 - Using All Hands.

1515 - Div. 3 - Secondaries on the fire floor and floor above are negative.  Evacuation staircase is "Z" DWH

1536 - FC per Div. 3 - SB, RB, and Rescue 1 will be going 10-8.  Fire is PWH.. Make this box a 10-41 code 1, unknown cause.  Duration 1 hour 1 minute.

1547 - FC - The fire was in the office of Peter McComb on the 48th floor.  Secondaries are complete and negative.  Under Control - Duration 1 hour 12 minutes.

East 42 Street @ Vanderbilt - Building is AKA "One Grand Central Place". Located across street from Grand Central Terminal

A few steps east of that building was a Horn & Hardart  automat that a few of you folks might remember. ::)

I do, it was on the Southeast corner of 42nd Street and Third Avenue

Yes on 3rd and 42nd but also Park & 42nd across from Grand Central, right by 60 E42.
